The Year of the Cat

It's been a banner year for our little Hildy. Born on the rough-and-tumble streets of West Allis, abandoned by her mother, rescued by luck by cat lovers and moved to Madison by her adoptive parents, this little girl has seen much in her short life. 2006 will bring new challenges and growth for her, as well as her mama and daddy. All the best to everyone in 2006 and have a fun and safe New Year's!

Wrap It Up

How can anybody wrap presents with a baby kitten around? Hildy has done her best to sabotage my efforts. She attacked the paper, my scissors, the gifts, anything I tried to use. What a nutcase! A cute nutcase, but still a nutcase.

Lazy

Such lazy kitties we have around here. When are they going to get off their duffs and start earning their keep? They won't get by on their looks forever...oh wait, yes they will! : )

Continuing Cuteness

No matter how big she gets, she still looks so cute when she's sleeping! Awww....
We took Hildy to the vet today for her final shots. She was generally well-behaved but a little feisty, as we expected. She now weighs 3.3 lbs- over 3 times what she did when we found her!

Who is that spooky looking cat? It's Matlock, Megan's mom's cat. She isn't as scary as she looks here. She's getting up there in years, but she has pretty coloring and is loved by her mama.

Weekend in Milwaukee

Hildy had quite a weekend! She went to Milwaukee for a visit and got to see Grandma, Great-Grandma, Pat and Margie, and her cousins George, Smokie and the famous and glamorous Mila! She had a great time, except in the long car ride there and back. She does not like to be confined.

'Tis The Season...

We took Hildy to visit the jolly fat guy today (no, not Buster!) Santa made an apprearance at PetSmart today just for us crazy pet owners so we could have pictures taken with him. How cute is that?

Ladies Luncheon

Here are our two girls Hildy and the Baby dining on a lovely meal of Friskies brand lamb and rice. You may be wondering, though- with delicious wet food out to eat, where's Buster? He typically likes to wait until the girls are done so he can feast on the copious leftovers. Hope there'll be some left for ya, big guy!

A Good Nap Spoiled

The big cats were happily enjoying their nap, enjoying the peace and quiet they don't get when mama's gabbing on the phone or daddy's practicing his harmonica, when...

...in blows Hurricane Hildy, rousing Buster and Baby from their slumbers with her manic jumping and and crazed meeping! Much hissing and gnashing of teeth ensued.
